NAD-AL-SHIBA HOUSING & LAND DEVELOPMENT

Designed to cater to the housing needs of the employees of the Office of His Royal Highness The Ruler of Dubai, this project involved land development and construction of  27 units 2-bedroom apartments for married employees and 16 units studio-type apartments for single employees.

The design of the roofing system features a precast prestressed  hollow core slab resting on peripheral beams supported by solid load-bearing masonry blocks.

The foundation consists of strip footings on well-compacted soil supporting the bearing walls. The reinforced concrete ground slab also connects to the strip footings thus acting as a tie of the footings as well as providing additional support for vertical loads.
