THE AL-HAJIRI BUILDING

Al Wahda St, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates

Located at Al Wahda Street, the center of Sharjah, the Al Hajiri Building is designed as an apartment building with commercial spaces at the ground and mezzanine floors.

 

Towering to a height of seven floors, the building is founded on bored cast-in-situ concrete piles socketed into bed rock. The superstructure is made up of concealed beams and ribbed slab system 40 centimeters thick with hollow ‘hordi’ filler blocks.
